Initially bought as a Christmas present for my wife, I joined in as well. The whole experience is extremely well thought out and very informative. The inner working of the Hive is fascinating and everything was explained in at an understandable level. Everything we needed was supplied. There was a lot of hands-on tasks to be carried out which we shared and gave us a real insight to the day to day responsibilities of Bee keeping.
When we finished we got to sit in the beautiful vineyard and Rebecca treated us to a cheese board and a refreshing glass of wine.

Rebecca is a very experienced, award winning Beekeeper who looks after her Hives with the greatest of care. The Introduction to Beekeeping course was very informative and great fun. Rebecca suited us in clean, tidy suits and took her time to ensure we were comfortable before we started. She patiently explained the workings of the hive, the different rolls of the Bees and all the incredible activity within each section of the Hive. It really was fascinating and opened our eyes to all aspects of keeping bees and maintaining their health and the durability of the Hive. There is a lot to it all but we found the session very encouraging and extremely worth doing. After the session, we were treated so kindly as Rebecca provided excellent refreshments in the form of a beautifully presented platter of cheeses & meats plus delicious wine produced by her family’s vineyard. I was given the bee keeping experience as a present and it was fabulous – a real taste of what it would be like to keep bees , lots of hands on experience, not just watching, and so informative about the whole process of bee keeping. The experience concluded with some warm hospitality at the vineyard. So enjoyable.
